The main star of the game is a character called Jim who has to use his worm-like abilities to fight and escape enemies whilst protecting a damsel-in-distress. A new trailer on the official Nintendo YouTube channel has announced that Earthworm Jim 2 is now available on the SNES app and both Dig Dug 2 and Mappy-Land are available on the NES app. The game takes on a traditional platformer gameplay but blends this with elements of shooting whilst in motion. Originally produced for the Game Gear console of the rivals Sega, modified ports were later dished out to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy in 1994/5.
